DMCA Policy

We write our own guides and respect the work of others. Here is how to report copyright infringement and how we respond.

Last updated: October 23, 2026.

Our Approach to Copyright

We build the calculator and write the guides ourselves, and we link to official sources instead of copying them. We respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you think something on gadgetfreeks.us infringes your copyright, tell us.

How to Send a Notice

Email your notice to contact@gadgetfreeks.us with the subject line “DMCA Notice.” A valid notice includes these items.

  1. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed.
  3. The exact URL of the material you want removed or disabled.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or may act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What Happens Next

We review each complete notice promptly. If it is valid, we remove or disable the material and may tell the person who published it. If a notice is missing details, we ask you to complete it. We do not act on notices that are vague or lack the required statements.

Counter-Notice

If we removed your material by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same email address. It should include these items.

  1. Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
  2. A description of the material and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address, and that you will accept legal service from the person who sent the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

We may pass your counter-notice to the original complainant. Under the DMCA, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notice, unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat Infringers

We may end access for anyone who repeatedly posts or submits infringing material to this site.

Report in Good Faith

Falsely claiming that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can carry legal consequences under U.S. law. Do you only want to report a factual error or ask to reuse our content? Use the contact page or read our terms of use.
